The Braemar Lodge Hotel is a splendid former Victorian shooting lodge dating back to 1870 and set in rural Aberdeenshire.

Ronnie Moore is the proud owner of the Braemar Lodge and prides himself in offering the warmest of Scottish welcome to all visiting beautiful Deeside. The hotel’s Malt Room boasts the largest range of malt whiskies in the area and allows guests to capture the true ambiance of the Scottish Highlands.

With seven bedrooms in the main lodge house, a separate self-catering bunk house located within the hotel grounds and accommodating up to 12 guests, as well as nine luxury log cabins on site, there is something for every taste.

The business is reliant on rural tourism and the country sports sector especially throughout the quieter autumn and winter months. Not only do guests and shooting parties boost business in the off-peak season, the hotel’s trade benefits from the local estate staff who also visit to enjoy meals and drinks at the bar.

The country sports sector supports the wider Deeside community with sporting groups enjoying the best of local produce from the area as well as days out.

The region is a popular one for all types of visitors but the positive impact of the country sports sector as part of the local economy and supporting employment cannot be underestimated.
